Anna Kozub
Graduated with distinction from piano studies in Prof. Jan Jański’s class at the State Higher Music School in Poznań in 1984. Her professional activity is associated mainly with piano chamber music. For many years, she has beenan employee of the Academy of Music in Poznań as an accompanist at the Chair of Wooden Wind Instruments. Currently, she is a professor at the Department of Com-position, Conducting, Vocal Studies, Theory of Music and Artistic Education of her alma mater.In addition to her didactic work, she is active as a concert pianist and chamber musician. She participated in numerous concerts: “Musical Salon at the Castle”,“Mas terpieces of Chamber Music”, “Professors and Students”,performed with the Pro Arte Novum ensemble, organized by the Poznań Branch of the Association of Polish Musicians [Stowarzyszenie Polskich Artysów Muzyków],and in educational events organized by the Poznań Philharmonic. She has often performed works by contemporary composers, such as Jan Astriab, Florian Dąbrowski, Andrzej Dziadek, Mikołaj Górecki, Janusz Stalmierski,Zbigniew Kozub, at concerts at the Academy of Music in Poznań, at contemporary music festivals such as the Poznań Music Spring, the Silesian Days of ContemporaryMusic in Katowice, the Witold Lutosławski International Festival of Contemporary Music in Szczecin, and the Portraits of Composers in Warsaw.Apart from interpreting instrumental music, she also performs vocal-instrumental pieces. She has accompanied such ensembles as the “Skowronki” Girls’ Choir, the “Sonantes” Female Choir of the Poznań University of Economics, the Adam Mickiewicz University Chamber Choir on numerous concert tours in Poland and abroad (in Germany, Hungary, Italy, USA). She gave concerts with outstanding vocalists, performing the piano part in recitals at Poznań’s Aula Nova, the Feliks Nowowiejski Society in Poznań or at palace concert halls in Żagań, Będlewo and Wąsów. Her collaboration with dancer and choreographer Mikołaj Mikołajczyk has resulted in joint presentations of chamber ballet performances presented at festivals in Poland (Stary Browar in Poznań, Warsaw, Lublin, Gdańsk) and abroad (France, Romania). In 2010, she recorded a CD of chamber music by Feliks Nowowiejski.
