Claudia Montero born in
Buenos Aires, and started her musical education in Alberto Ginastera
Conservatory in Buenos Aires, graduating in Musical Pedagogy and Composition.
In 2014, her
Concerto for Violin and String Orchestra has been awared with the Latin Grammy
Best Classical Contemporary Composition.
Since 1993 to
the present, she has premiered all of her works.
She has received
requests from soloists in the most prestigious Orchestras and Chamber
Orchestras from Argentina, Spain and the rest of Europe.

Honorable Congress of the Nation, Jerez Chamber Orchestra, Pau Casals

have been some of the groups and orchestras that have premiered and
commissioned works.
Being guest of
music festivals as a composer and lecturer, she has attended to the Cagliari
International Music Festival (Italy), "A Orillas del Guadalquivir"
International Festival (Spain), Ayamonte’s Music Festival (Spain), Gitarrenland
Festival (Germany / France) Latin American Meeting of Women in the Arts at the
University of Alcalá, Havana’s International Music Festival, Series: "From
the End of the World" (Taiwan), were there were performed premieres and
first performances of his works, with significant impact on the media. She has
conducted lectures and presentations about her works and about Argentinian
Chamber Music in the Second Festival "From the Ends of the World" in
the city of Bahia Blanca and Buenos Aires this year, where she attended as a
composer in residence with the Orchestra University of Taipei.
She has received
the Composition Awards, A Memory of René Theseus. ADOMU Awards.
She has been
jury in the International Band Contests of Castellón (Valencia), INJUVE Awards
(Madrid), JOCME Composition Awards and Isla Verde Bronces (Argentina).
She has taught
seminars about the Argentina’s Chamber Music in the Conservatory of Trieste,
Cagliari, and Udine in Italy, at the University of Alcalá (Spain), Hsing Hua
University (Taiwan), concerts and case conferences on his work in Valencia
(Spain), and courses on Musical Aesthetics and Analysis in Valencia.
Her works are
edited in Piles Editorial, Ut Orpheus (Italy), Brotons & Mercadal editions.
